The Camel (Complete Air Moving Elevating Lift) is an air powered cushion designed to  sit up and lift a fallen person from the floor.  Operated by the Airflo low pressure power source, the Camel offers an extremely stable and stress-free lift that can be performed independently or with assistance from a caregiver.

The Camel has a maximum lifting capacity of 700 lbs and is particularly useful in bariatric patients while minimizing caregiver risks.  The cushion is made of lightweight, durable plastic that easily folds for storage.   The Airflo compressor is battery powered so that Camel can be used anywhere including outdoors.

How to use the Camel

 
Step 1 - Roll the individual on their side, unroll the Camel and place flat on the floor parallel to the individual.


Step 2 - Roll the individual onto the Camel.


Step 3 - Turn on the Airflo compressor and begin to inflate making sure that the individual is stable.


Step 4 - When the Camel is completely inflated the individual  can stand up.  The use of a SafetySure Transfer Sling (item 3001) or SafeySure Transfer Belt can assist in the standing process.
